Maryland Fried Chicken: Delicious Fast Food Chicken Wings in Albany, GA

I give a 5 star purely because I believe in Maryland’s. Been eating it for 33 years now I believe. Fried Green tomatoes and Liver Gizzards Combo is my go to. Love it. The bag smells so good, I can’t hardly wait to get home. Tater tots for the win and the prices are fair. Speed is decent as well. I like the additions they throw in like Smoked Ribs. Today I went and got the usual but wanted to try mashed potatoes. They were HORRIBLE. Please go try KFC & Church’s mash then taste yours and you’ll see the difference. Mashed potatoes tasted like paper bags. I never order other people slaw because I know they should be able to make instant mash taste well. I still give Maryland’s a 5 because everything else was great. The Customer service was Great at the service window, she talks like we’re family.

There are few places whose food takes me back to my childhood years with a smile. The gizzards were amazing. They reminded me of sitting on the tailgate with my mom, and I've tried gizzards from all over Albany and never had that joy before. The boneless spare ribs (think that's what they were) were great. Tl;dr‐if you want good food, stop in.

Hands Down Best Philly Cheese Steak I have ever had. You might want to call because they don’t always have them, and it takes a little time to create this PERFECT sandwich. It’s not on the menu, but it’s some of the best food in Albany, GA.

Amazing service! Not only did they bring our food to our table, but I watched them carry a meal to someone waiting in their car who hadn't even gone through the drive-thru.

Let me preface this by saying, Maryland's has the best chicken livers and fried green tomatoes I've ever tasted in Albany. We always get the livers for hubby cooked soft because he has some dental issues caused by previous medications, so it's easier for him to eat them soft. They're always perfect. However, I understand that the restaurant is trying, and unfortunately failing, at trying to be something it's not. That "hot bar" is atrocious. Everything is old and dried out, and it's not good. I got hamburger steak with mashed potatoes and gravy, and baked beans on the side. It had just been put out. It was all awful. They have an ice cream machine that's sitting in front of the door as you walk in, and it's never worked. The place needs a very good cleaning and updating. It's not appealing visually, and the girls who work the front aren't as friendly as the ones used to be. We'll continue to visit for the livers and tomatoes, but we won't get anything else. I hate that they closed the one on MLK because I loved going there.

Marilyn's is just okay to me. Some of their items are much better than others. The buffalo chicken strips are very good however decoding they use is a little tough to me. It tastes like they use extra cornmeal which don't get me wrong it tastes good but like I said it makes it a little tough. Their mac and cheese is very good now- it has not always been. Their service is pretty good but not good enough for five stars. Overall it is just okay. Not somewhere I want to go eat everyday or even every week, but it is good occasionally

The people there were friendly. Took a while to get my food but it was freshly cooked. Enjoyed everything and will go back again
